Office Personalities ...

The Working Girl...

Every office is full of various personalities. While everyone is different, there are a few personalities prototypes that a Working Girl can find almost everywhere she goes. She may even find a little bit of herself in these women, which is probably why they drive her crazy:

Betty Business - Betty shows up to work early, doesn't take lunch and stays late. Whether she's doing it to impress her boss(es) or really has that much work to do, she's serious about her job. Betty's a nice girl, but she doesn't have too many friends in the office, mostly because she's working through lunch and working past happy hour. But because of that, she's a favorite among the higher-ups. Sometimes her business savvy comes off as being a little ruthless because, after all, she is looking out for herself and her career.

Debbie Downer - Oh Debbie. Something's always got her down. One day it's the weather, the next day it's her boss or cube-mate. She's the wrong person to talk to when you're having a bad day, because she just might make you feel worse. Debbie doesn't smile much and you sometimes have to wonder how she got hired in the first place. She must be a genius at excel because she certainly wasn't hired for her positive attitude.

Networking Nancy - Nancy takes networking to another level. Her lunch calendar is booked through September and she likes to spend one-on-one time with everyone in the office. You don't have to talk much at a lunch with Nancy; she loves to talk, mostly about herself and where she sees herself in 2 years, 5 years or 10 years. She wants you to know where she wants to go, just in case you can help her one day.

Superficial Sally - Sally is not one of your closest friends at work. In fact you don't really like her and you're pretty sure she doesn't like you. Whenever you see her, which is usually in the ladies' room or on the elevator, she's sweet as sugar, or tries to be. "How are you, sweetheart?" she asks. "I love your, [long pause] your shoes, so cute," she comments as you think to yourself, "When did they hire Regina George?"

Chatty Cathy - We are all familiar with Chatty Cathy. She loves to talk, even more than Nancy does. A conversation with Cathy usually starts with a simple topic, like what she did over the weekend, but before you know it, she's gone off on 12 different tangents and you have no idea how you ended up talking about the Mommy & Me class she took with women who get facelifts. Cathy is also the queen of TMI. She tells whoever will listen about the time she had to cut her husbands toenails or how much her son pooped today. The best thing you can do is avoid conversations with Cathy altogether. The second she gets talking, you're done because Cathy does not follow normal conversation ending etiquette.

Doctor knows best...

http://www.webmd.com/
...sprained ankle, also known as an ankle sprain, rolled ankle, ankle injury or ankle ligament injury, is a common medical condition where one or more of the ligaments of the ankle is torn or partially torn. The anterior talofibular ligament is one of the most commonly involved ligaments. Sprains to the lateral aspect of the ankle account for 85% of ankle sprains.

Severe ankle sprains should be assessed by a podiatrist or an orthopedic doctor although physical therapy treatment is extremely effective for most sprained ankles. Immediately following the injury it is important to follow the PRICE protocol – protection, rest, ice, compression and elevation (also known as RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation).

and thats exactly what I plan to do, and dont take it as a cop out either. I tried going to class today and failed miseralbly. I mean I started out with a discomfort but now Im seriously in pain but not as much my ankle as my armpits! TMI, I know but boy I tell you I dont know how people do this ...then again if I had the pain killers they had Im sure I wouldn't mind as much.

Dont be crazy everybody wants to be us...

Quote of the day: "Life is a long lesson in humility." - James M. Barrie

Advertising: Cash in on your old Air Borne reseat, or up to 6 bottles without.

Air Borne Settles False-Advertising Suit
Airborne, the herbal supplement widely perceived as a cold remedy -- if no longer marketed as one -- has caught a major chill. The company behind the brand has agreed to a $23.3 million settlement of a class action false-advertising lawsuit.

News with me...
Lets see the family is currently a mess and doing a fine job of driving me crazy.
School is boring me at this point but hey you have to push through it right?
Men are abundant, but never the one I want.
...but hey when all else fails, I always have my health right?

In an Effort to Get 'Cool,' Microsoft Finally Calls in Crispin
by mcreamer@adage.com (Matthew Creamer)

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Last week, Microsoft did what desperate marketers do when they need refreshing: It hired Crispin Porter & Bogusky, the agency that has breathed life into brands such as Burger King and Volkswagen with weird/creepy messages and innovative media, from original video games to hotel-room porn channels.

Way too much going on...

Everyone prepare yourself for a group of girls doing it big.

Fashiin Junkiiz are hitting the ground running, based here in San Francisco these urban trend setters are breaking out with their label and will be coming to a venue near you. Party promoters take note: Fashion shows, Parties, Trade Shows, Gallery Events, and any thing else these girls can get their hands on they do... so step your game up.

Update first...

The website is still in production stage, I have kinda switch gears and started working on a campaign for a class Im taking, re-branding the San Francisco Skateboarding Association. There is a huge chance you will see this site up before mine.. but then again it is for a non profit so... good for me.

So, the perfectly good stranger and I are doing quit well, to say the least...
I mean for anyone who knows me the fact that hes still an option is a tall feet in its self. But this one, like many may say, is "different" (lol... right?)

He is the only guy I found that actually has a life of his own and doesn't bug fifty thousand times a day. I mean, I understand wanting to "check up" and see how my day is going but every hour on the hour... come on now!

Anyways, other then that I want to send a Big up to John Mcgee, my brother, for his birthday. Made it through anther year... and also to Gigi, my boss lady, just lost her boss (which is a blessing to all of those who had to deal with him) and by lost I mean he was "let go" to put it nicely.

Web site...

The site is finally coming together, so be on the lookout.

cm3710.aisites.com

On its way....
lol , and on a side note.....

So as for the man situation, (or lack thereof as I said it first) hahha we had a random weekend to say the least. Why is it though when you expect nothing you get the most... well that’s at least where I’m at right now. An unexpected connection with a stranger turned in to a phone call... that was well, pleasant. and quit unexpected... but hey it’s those things that make life worth living.

oh, and the friends... had a successful weekend also. and she’s cute too...

Discontent...

How I feel at this moment- Discontent :
showing or experiencing dissatisfaction or restless...
a longing for something better than the present situation...

So its another ugly rainy day in San Francisco, what make this day any different from all the others? Well, besides the fact that its Martin Luther King Day?  Not saying that Im all hard core into my ethnicity but hey he was a great man so much respect.... Im actually most excited that because of this iconic figure I have the day off!
Where to I say ...The Museum
                                        ... a gallery
                                                   ... the beach
                                                             ... anywhere!

... but no such luck, because of this crappy weather no one wants to come out and play... which leaves me suck in the house watching movies and doing home work... wow, what a waste of a prefectly good day off.

Meaning of this Blog...

Let us first explain what this page is about...

Chanel is my name... well, to be honest its Chenelle Mcgee. I use Chanel as my pen name for artistic purposes. Moving on concepts... well being an advertising student I'm always told I get paid mainly for my thoughts... thoughts being concepts... Concept is in an abstract idea or a mental symbol, typically associated with a corresponding representation in a language or symbology.

So that is were I leave it...
If you are provoked enough to continue thank you. I will be posting as often as I can on topics that interest me...
art
music
fashion
food
men (or lack there of...)
work and a few topics out of no where...
