Doctor knows best...

http://www.webmd.com/
...sprained ankle, also known as an ankle sprain, rolled ankle, ankle injury or ankle ligament injury, is a common medical condition where one or more of the ligaments of the ankle is torn or partially torn. The anterior talofibular ligament is one of the most commonly involved ligaments. Sprains to the lateral aspect of the ankle account for 85% of ankle sprains.

Severe ankle sprains should be assessed by a podiatrist or an orthopedic doctor although physical therapy treatment is extremely effective for most sprained ankles. Immediately following the injury it is important to follow the PRICE protocol – protection, rest, ice, compression and elevation (also known as RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation).

and thats exactly what I plan to do, and dont take it as a cop out either. I tried going to class today and failed miseralbly. I mean I started out with a discomfort but now Im seriously in pain but not as much my ankle as my armpits! TMI, I know but boy I tell you I dont know how people do this ...then again if I had the pain killers they had Im sure I wouldn't mind as much.
